Andrew Gregory is a British journalist, writer, producer, director, and photographer, and a reporter and editor at The Guardian.
In 2023, he won the Royal Statistical Society prize for investigative journalism and the Medical Journalists’ Association prize for story of the year for his series that exposed appalling health inequalities in England.
Gregory is also the recipient of three British Press Awards, a British Journalism Award, two Reach Awards, a Drum Award, a Young Epilepsy Award, a Guild of Health Writers Award, and nominations for a London Press Club Award, three Cudlipp Awards, three Reuters/Press Gazette Awards, an Asian Media Award, and a British Media Award.
He is a member of the Association of British Science Writers, the Association of Health Care Journalists, the British Film Institute, the Guild of Health Writers, the International Documentary Association, Investigative Reporters & Editors, the London Press Club, the Medical Journalists’ Association, and the Royal Photographic Society.
Before joining The Guardian, Gregory was a reporter and editor at The Sunday Times, and a contributing writer for The Sunday Times Magazine. He began his career as an assistant to a newspaper photographer. He started out as a newspaper delivery boy.
